The image survey of animal medical care

【Background】Recently、petkeepers are more and more, the number of animal hospitals also increased And then, money to be applied to pet has come increasingIn other words it is that it has come to be required veterinary medicine of high level. And along with it, advanced technology has come to be also required to veterinary technician(VT). So, VT current curriculum,is entry for study of the owner side, the study about the human, there is little because of Field of knowledge of the animals increased. However, if viewed as a service industry and veterinary medicine, people of the owner who is a user of the animal hospital want really want an VTpacked with only knowledge of the animal. This time, I want to clear gap between reality and image such of that.

 

【method】A questionnaire survey was conducted. to person of the veterinarian and animal nurses and veterinarians students and general public. Contents of the questionnaire is question of the percentage that owner side (Such as mental health care advice of discipline,  
training, customer service manners, pet loss, such as euthanasia, animal cruelty) and pets side (anatomy, physiology, nutrition, rehabilitation, pharmacology, and behavioral. 

 

【Result】27 veterinarians, 24 people veterinarian student, 50 people public, 9 VT responded to the survey. Result of percentage scoring that veterinarians students want you to study. The scoring results of veterinarian students is, In a subject veterinarian, study of the owner side (44.8 points), study of the pet side (55.2 points). In a subject veternary technician, study of the owner side (41.9 points), study of the pet side (58.1 points). In a subject veterinarian student, study of the owner side (38.1 points), study of the pet side (61.9 points).In the subject public, study of the 66 owner side (37.6 points), study of the pet side (62.4 points). 1Result of percentage scoring that percentage of VT 2 students want you to study.The scoring results of VT 3 students is, In a subject veterinarian, study of the owner 4 side (56.7 points), study of the pet side (43.3 points). In a 5 subject VT, study of the owner side (52.5 points), study of 6 the pet side (47.5 points). In a subject veterinarian student, 7 study of the owner side (60.4 points), study of the pet side 8 (39.6 points). In a subject public, study of the owner side 9 (52.7 points), study of the pet side (47.3 points).
