Disseminating animal care expertise and information from Kobe City, Japan. Let’s pause a while to think about our responsibilities to our fellow creatures.

One of the lessons learned through the tragic experience of the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake of 1995 was the ‘responsibility that human beings’ have over the ‘lives’ of animals. That is why we in Kobe feel an acute obligation to spread a message to change the world!

METHOD

Through a broad exchange of expertise and knowledge, and with a format that encourages innovative debate, including evaluation of new techniques and technologies and their implementation, this conference can improve the welfare of animals all over the world by showing that our responsibilities extend far and wide within and beyond our society.
