This year for the first time the event was held at Miki Disaster Management Park. The weather, which had looked worryingly unfavorable, fortunately improved by opening time and many dog lovers and their pets gathered together, coming from far and wide.
There were four sections to the contest; the Frisbee Dogs Section (in which dogs catch Frisbees thrown by their owners), the Agility Section (in which they have to clear several obstacles), the Canicross Section (a time race with owners), and the Canine Free Style Section (a dance competition for the dogs and owners).
Each contest was held according to local rules for beginners. A set of familiar faces as well as first-time participants both competed earnestly. There were some owners who admitted to having practiced hard in advance! While some had taken the event very seriously, all who took part obviously enjoyed themselves thoroughly which was very nice to see.

As the winning names were called and winners invited to the podium, all received a big round of applause and cheers.
The winners looked very happy with their prizes.
Thank you very much.
The event was enjoyed by so many people!!I

eJanken Gamef

The final eJanken Gamef (paper, rock, scissors game), is always a highly exciting moment and one in which everybody present (including staff and people from the related organizations) gets a chance to win something.
As in previous years, the various prizes for this final exciting, highly enjoyable, contest were all provided by related organizations and participating stores.

In the tent, there was an exhibition about the Miki Branch of the Hyogo Prefecture Animal Well Being Center which opened last year near the venue. On the day of the event, the Centerfs animal care promotion staff turned out to help.

With the venue being the Disaster Management Park, it was truly appropriate to present information about the animal rescue efforts following the 1995 Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake. Disaster prevention goods for pets and owners were also introduced. People were encouraged to ask themselves - eIf a big disaster comes, are we ready to escape with our pets? We may not think about it in our daily lives, but it is important to be preparedf.

There were also some stores selling doggie snacks and other goods, and there was even a massage store. All visitors could enjoy a shopping experience with their pet dogs at their side. By late afternoon, the weather had recovered completely and, within the new venue and its surroundings of beautiful mountains, the g8th Live Love Animals Festival 2008 Enjoy Sports with Dogsh came to an end.

This Festival was successful thanks to the help and cooperation of many organizations and companies. The Organizers are also grateful for the many visitors who came and participated in the contests. We also appreciated the help of the volunteer staff from Knots, students from the Kobe Animals and Plants Environmental College, and from eKobe Aiken Biyo Senmon-gakuinf who did a great job of running the event. The Organizers would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in this event. We hope to see all of you again next year.
